A Private Art Space in Madrid - By Invitation Only

IMG_0415.jpg

Tucked away on the third floor of a historic building in Madrid's glamorous Salamanca neighborhood is a private art space owned by Julieta, an art curator who once served as director at many art associations and curated numerous exhibits in Spain. This space is open to clients by invitation only.

Julieta welcomes guests to her private residence to show works of established Spanish artists she personally knows for years. Julieta's in-depth knowledge of Spanish contemporary art has allowed her space to show commissioned exhibitions of a wide diversity of artists and art forms, including painting, sculpture, photography, video art, and mixed media. Her curated collection of work rotates every three months for art collectors who wants to expand their collection. The space also serves as a salon for artists and high rank officials in museums to offer mentoring opportunities for artists who wish to take their career to the next level. Conversations often leads to special exhibits at public spaces or commissioned work.

During our last visit, Julieta was showing a collection of collages by Emilio Gil who owns a graphic design agency and has passions for collage work. Many of his work have been picked up by art collectors by the time we visited, but we were able to enjoy several pieces as Julieta welcomed us over a bottle of Spanish white wine.  The art experience in this private space is nothing but special and exclusive you will remember for a long time. Readers who wish to visit this space can contact us via our Contact form for referral.
